This half-day workshop reviews the neurological examination of rehabilitation patients, including neurolocalization, special tests, and assessment of functional ability using neurodevelopmental sequencing as a guideline. Developing a treatment plan based on clinical findings and using neuroinhibitory and neurofacilitatory treatment techniques will be demonstrated and practiced to work patients back to functional recovery.
 
Course Outline 
Lecture 
Review the neurological examination and clinical relevance of special tests 
Understand upper and lower motor neuron conditions and clinical appearance based on neurolocalization. 
Learn motor control and neurodevelopmental sequencing as an assessment tool 
Learn neurofaciliatory and neuroinhibitory treatment techniques 
Review the implications of spinal walking and how to increase the odds of deep pain-negative patients 
Lab 
Practice Neurological Examination techniques (posture and gait evaluation) with videos 
Practice Neurological Examination techniques (special tests) 
Evaluate patient neurodevelopmental sequence and motor control assessment 
Based on evaluation formulate a problem list and treatment plan 
Practice neuroinhibitory and neurofacilitatory techniques on patients
