DESCRIPTION: CCL disease starts long before the ligament ruptures. Learn how to recognize the early, often-missed signs of CCL disease and identify dogs at risk. Then learn practical interventions to improve stifle health and stability, with the goal of preventing the tear, reducing pain, and keeping your patients out of the operating room.

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the early clinical signs and physical examination findings associated with CCL disease before a complete rupture occurs.
  • Recognize dogs at increased risk for CCL rupture and determine when early intervention is appropriate.
  • Apply practical strategies and targeted exercises to improve stifle stability, reduce CCL stress, and help prevent progression to rupture.
