STAAR Labs are intensive, hands-on learning experiences. Labs incorporate live dogs so participants can practice techniques and immediately apply what they learn to their patients or pets.  

​

Labs are intentionally kept small, interactive, and informal to maximize hands-on learning and instructor interaction.

​

LAB LEVELS​​​​

• Introductory: Designed for participants with little or no previous experience in the topic. These labs focus on essential concepts, foundational skills, and guided hands-on practice.

• Intermediate: Designed for participants with a working knowledge of the subject who are ready to build on foundational skills. Labs focus on more advanced techniques, clinical application, and practical problem-solving.

• ​Advanced: Designed for experienced practitioners with strong prior knowledge of the subject. These fast-paced labs focus on advanced techniques, complex clinical decision-making, and nuanced application of skills.

 

Lab selections are first come, first served and are confirmed once final payment is received.

GENERAL DAILY SCHEDULE

• Morning Labs: 8:30 AM–12:45 PM; Includes one 15-minute break

• Lunch: 12:45–2:15 PM

• Afternoon Labs: 2:15–6:30 PM; Includes one 15-minute break
